4. VELKOV, Simeon /Professor Simeon Velkov Belishki/ (11 April 1885 – 10 September 1963). He was born in Panagyurishte. He was a student in his hometown and in Plovdiv. In 1910, he finished State Artistic School under Ivan Markvichka. During the wars, he was at the front as a military artist. Since 1926, he was a teacher and later – a professor in State Artistic Academy in Sofia. Professor Velkov created a number of battle art canvases for the feats and the tragedy of the Bulgarian soldiers and officers. He was honored the title Honored Artist.
DINKOV, Ivan /Ivan Dinkov Ivanov/ (26 August 1931- – January 2005). He was born in Smilets village. He was one of the most significant Bulgarian poets. He was a law graduate at Sofia University “Sveti Kliment Ohridski” He worked as editor, leader-editor and head director of publishing house “Hristo Botev”. He was the author of the books “Antiquarian poems”, “Personal Identification Card”, “Epopee of the unforgettable”, “Masks”, “Admissions to Bella Tsonev”, “Respect to literature”, “Boyhood of soldiers” , “Touching Bulgaria”, “A handful of syllables” etc. He was a bearer of prestigious national literature prizes,
MURDJEV, Lazar Dimitrov was born on 5 September 1962 in Sofia. His family comes from Poibrene village, near Panagyurishte. He finished the High School of fine arts, graduated at Academy of fine arts in Sofia, and he majored in psychology as well. He had five one-man shows and published three books. He is the president of Managing Committee of Bulgarian Investigating Bureau- an international non-governmental organization. He is the director of Security Agency “Paradox”, He lives and works in Sofia.
